Meet the heart and vision behind Chapter Care, our Director and Registered Manager, Helen Wilton-Love.
Helen has been part of the Chapter Care journey since 2012, starting as a part-time administrator before progressing into the role of Finance Manager. With a Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care, years of hands-on experience, and a deep understanding of both the operational and personal side of care, Helen became Registered Manager in 2019.
Passionate about delivering compassionate, person-centred support, Helen has been instrumental in shaping Chapter Care’s values, standards, and reputation across North Devon. In 2020, she took ownership of the company with a clear vision: to build a service recognised for exceptional, holistic care while championing the incredible work of care professionals within the community.
Known for her determination and unwavering commitment, Helen has a talent for turning challenges into opportunities for growth and positive change. Whilst she may be vertically challenged, her impact on the care sector is anything but small. Under her leadership, Chapter Care continues to provide high-quality support tailored to each individual, while creating a workplace culture built on compassion, respect, and teamwork.
Outside of Chapter Care, Helen is a devoted mum to three children, proud nanny, and full-time provider of treats and affection to four energetic dogs. When she’s not leading the team, supporting clients, or spinning several plates at once, you’ll most likely find her at a spin class - willingly paying to cycle uphill indoors!
Her warmth, integrity, and hands-on approach are at the core of everything Chapter Care stands for, and her dedication continues to make a lasting difference to the lives of both clients and staff alike.

I started my care journey when I was 17 doing teas and coffees in the evening in a care home! When I was 18, they took me on as a full time carer and I completed my NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care.
After working in the care home I decided to try out community care. I loved it and did that for 5+ years before moving to Barnstaple and joining Chapter Care in 2023. I love working for this company and absolutely love working with my colleagues andcaring for my clients ❤️

I spent the first 18 months of my employment working alongside more experienced carers and was so excited to begin working independently when I turned 18 this year.
I love my job so much, I love making a difference to people's day and I can't imagine working anywhere else!"
