I started my care journey when I was 17 doing teas and coffees in the evening in a care home! When I was 18, they took me on as a full time carer and I completed my NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care.
After working in the care home I decided to try out community care. I loved it and did that for 5+ years before moving to Barnstaple and joining Chapter Care in 2023. I love working for this company and absolutely love working with my colleagues andcaring for my clients ❤️

"I joined Chapter Care on a Level 2 Health & Social Care Apprenticeship at the young age of 16. I settled into the role much quicker than I thought due to the amazing support I was provided. I spent the first 18 months of my employment working alongside more experienced carers and was so excited to begin working independently when I turned 18 this year.
I love my job so much, I love making a difference to people's day and I can't imagine working anywhere else!"

"I joined Chapter Care at the age of 17 in 2020. Having left college with a Level 3 Diploma Health and Social Care, I was ready to take my next steps. I applied for my first (and only ever!!) job at Chapter Care and quickly became a part of an amazing, fun and supportive team of like-minded people that I see as family.
I’ve grown so much as a person through this role and am excited for what the future brings. The job itself is so fulfilling and I adore my clients and colleagues."

I joined Chapter Care at 17 after completing a T Level in Healthcare. Other than placements, I had no experience but was I was so supported through my training and first few weeks on my own.
I love that I can make such a difference to people's lives and allow them to continue living at home with their families.
I’ve met some of the best people here which makes shifts so enjoyable!
I am currently travelling around SE Asia which was made so much easier with Chapter Care's support.✈️

"I joined Chapter Care in early 2024 after previous experience in a residential home and A&E. Working for Chapter Care is lovely and gives me so much more room to grow and widen my potential working in care. My favourite thing is working with and seeing the same clients regularly so a really nice relationship can be made with them and myself. Not to mention the lovely team I work along with also. Care work changed my life in so many ways and I wouldn’t be me without care work."
